Oh so tired!

OK, I know I'm only 25 years old, but i feel like I must be at least 50! I hate to complain, because I know there are worse things out there, but I have not had a full nights sleep in 10 months now! It's not just being tired that gets ya, it's the lack of brain power you have with no sleep that's hard to deal with. Plus it makes me so achy and sick feeling. Worst of all, I'm pretty sure Paxton has become a worse sleeper as the months go by. He used to wake up once to feed, now he thinks he needs to eat twice in the night and have 2 or 3 crying sessions in between! I know I have to let him cry it out...and it might be a two hour episode, so wish me good luck cause I'm going to buy me some ear plugs and let him howl it out. We'll see how it goes. Poor thing. I can't stand to let him cry for so long. 20 minutes has been my max so far. I just keep praying that one day he'll surprise me and I'll wake up in the morning feeling so good, not even realizing that I slept through the whole night! ha ha...I'll keep wishin:)

Cousins

Yesterday was Ryan's 28th birthday. We tried really hard to make it special for him. I wasn't allowed to buy him anything, since we just got a new lap top, that was supposed to be his present this year. But we made him a little scavenger hunt for when he got home from work and he got some pretty sweet prizes! The presents were all from Champ...that way I didn't get in trouble:)

Once he was done with the scavenger hunt, we headed to Boston Pizza to meet up with all the Peterson's for a birthday celebration. Good times! Then home for cake (compiments of DQ)..woops was I supposed to make a cake?! Nothin beats ice cream cake!

We had a fun time together, and we think Ryan is the best! Happy Birthday babe!

My Little Helper

Since Ryan has been spending so many hours at the office lately, Pax and I have been spending a lot more time together, just me and him. I am so bad at just leaving him on the floor with toys, instead I pack him around everywhere I go. I know I'm bad, I'm creating a spoiled little mama's boy!! He rides in the laundry basket up and down the stairs, and he helped me pack all his clothes away in that blue tote. My little boy is growing like a weed. I already have 3 of those totes full of clothes he doesn't fit in to anymore!

Okay people don't give up on me here...i'm trying to figure out how to put pictures up on this thing. I thought i knew a lot about computers, but apparently I'm having some trouble with this one!
I took Champ swimming again today...he absolutely loves it, and it's so cute to see him so excited to get into that pool! Today I thought of how grateful I am that my husband is able to provide for us so I can stay home with my baby. I'm finally living my dream...at home all day with my little buddy. We have so much fun together, and he loves his mama:) ...haha he loves his daddy too..but I like to bug Ryan, because he's so afraid of having a wussy boy! But oh well..he really truly is a mama's boy, and i love it!!

Wow! So I was looking on Mike and Kennedy's blog today, and i look over to the right column and see "PETERSONS"...so i click on it fully expecting to see one of the cousins new blogs, and to my surprise it's MY blog that i started like 3 years ago, and clearly didn't have a clue what i was doing. Haha. So, anyways, after browsing around at Lindsay's, Krystyn's, Rachelle's,Antonias..the list goes on(you are all so cute)! I thought I could possibly give this another shot. We'll see how it goes. I am in need of serious help...editing and what not! Wish me luck:)

Tired and Ready for an 8 month Break!

Well the summer is slowly coming to an end, and Ryan is more than ready to go home. What an exhausting summer job! I will be happy when he can do something that he enjoys, but isn't so demanding physically, and mentally.
We will be heading home on the 1st of September and stopping in Nauvoo to see the church sites and to take in a temple session. We're meeting Danny and Laura Wheeler there so it will be fun to catch up with them and see their little baby girl Alyssa. After Nauvoo were going to see Carthage Jail, and then Winter Quarters. I'm very excited, I've heard that Winter Quarters is a very spiritual place, and one of the best visitor centres that the church has.
In the mean time, I will be busy packing, and finishing up all the last minute things here in Chicago. Man, we're really going to miss this place!

The Windy City...

I have to admit, I am becoming quite fond of the big windy city, otherwise known as Chicago. It's funny how you really learn to love it wherever you are. And although it's a bit windy here, it's never quite as windy as it ever gets in Lethbridge. It's more like a soft breeze. That's a nice way of looking at it. Just a soft breeze in the air.
Ryan has been so busy with work, so I have become quite indulged in myself this summer. Haha. That sounds so bad. But really, I am learning how to enjoy the simple things of life. The long walks with the dog...reading books, that i otherwise would never pick up for lack of time in a normal day, and yes, I am becoming one domestic diva I must say. Ryan is so Lucky! heehee

My first Blog....

What the heck is a blog anyways? My brother in law is a big fan of this blog thing, and he obviously sold me on the idea of blogging my life away here on this website. This will be interesting. Kind of fun and exciting actually...who wouldn't want a website where you can go..sit down, and talk about all the great things that happen every day. Because GREAT things happen to us EVERY day!
